The booking system that works for the shop, not the marketplace.
Everything a busy chair needs to run the day, book the week and fill the quiet spots, and none of the fees that turn “free software” into your biggest supplier bill.
Marketplace software takes a cut of clients who were already yours.
Zero commission, ever
Your booking link lives on your website, Instagram and Google profile. Regulars and walk-ins who book online are your clients, so nobody clips the ticket on the way through.
No-shows quietly cost more than any software subscription.
Reminders with teeth
Automatic SMS and email reminders sent in your shop's name, timed to local hours. Take deposits or hold a card so a no-show fee is a click, not an argument.
Your takings shouldn't sit in someone else's payout queue.
Paid straight to your Stripe
Card payments settle into your own Stripe account at standard Stripe rates. No platform margin on processing, no holds, no surprise deductions.
Switching costs are how booking apps keep you.
Your list stays yours
Clients, history and upcoming bookings are exportable any time, in plain formats. If we stop earning your AU$110, you leave with everything.
Quiet weeks need a nudge, not a marketing degree.
Campaigns to your regulars
Email, text or both, to clients who said yes. 23 starter templates, a cost estimate before any text goes out, and an unsubscribe link added to every message.
Nobody knows what the system sends on their behalf.
Every automatic message, in one place
Automations lists each message by moment: confirmation, reminder, thank-you. Reword any of them, switch them off, or add your own.
The day never runs to the diary.
Walk-ins, waitlist and repeats
A walk-in queue for the door, a waitlist that offers cancelled slots, repeat bookings for regulars, and multi-service bookings in one visit.
Selling more shouldn't mean another system.
Vouchers, loyalty and retail
Sell gift vouchers, run a stamp card and ring up products at the same checkout as the haircut.
A booking page that looks like someone else's.
Your colours on the page
Set your brand colour, accent and page background once. The booking page and messages follow.
What a year actually costs.
“Free” booking software is paid for somewhere. Here is how the two models charge, line by line, so you can run your own numbers.
Software subscription
Typical marketplace platforms: Paid monthly plan, often priced per bookable team member
AU$110 a month including GST, flat, the whole price
New clients from their marketplace
Typical marketplace platforms: A commission, often around 20%, on the first appointment from a new client (minimum fee may apply)
No marketplace, so no commission: new clients come through your own link
Card processing
Typical marketplace platforms: Often processed through the platform at its own per-transaction rate
Your own Stripe account at standard Stripe rates, paid to Stripe, not us
Text message reminders
Typical marketplace platforms: Text messages at the platform's per-message rates
Billed at our cost, 3.5c + GST a segment (3.85c including GST), every one itemised on your invoice
Consumer marketplace discovery
Typical marketplace platforms: Often: a consumer app can put you in front of new clients
We don't offer this. If marketplace foot traffic matters to you, that's a real trade-off
Leaving
Typical marketplace platforms: Export and re-enter elsewhere
Month-to-month; export clients and bookings any time
Worked example: ten marketplace-found new clients a month at a $60 first visit is $120 a month in commission before processing fees.
Described in general terms, from pricing mechanics that booking marketplaces publicly document. Plans and rates differ between products and change over time, so check the current numbers for any platform you're comparing before deciding.
Clients book with you, not a marketplace that resells them.
Booking page, confirmations, reminders, receipts: every surface a client touches carries your name and your colours. Our brand appears exactly nowhere.
- SMS and email, campaigns and unsubscribe pages included, sent from your business name, not ours.
- Your own booking link, shared from your Google profile, Instagram and website.
- No app for clients to download, no marketplace account, no cross-promotion of other shops.
Marlowe & Co. Barbers
Switching is a checklist, not a leap.
You keep trading the whole time, and you approve the result before a single client sees it.
- 1
Export from your current system
Download your clients, services and upcoming appointments from your current booking system's own export tools. Ten minutes, and it keeps working while you do it.
- 2
Upload it yourself, or we will
Upload your exports in Setup → Import. Prefer us to do it? Send them over and we will, free.
- 3
You check it first
Walk through your calendar side by side before anything goes live. Nothing switches until you say it's right.
- 4
Go live when ready
Point your booking link at the new page. Clients notice nothing except that it's your name on everything. Migration is free.
Built for Australia
Made here, for the way shops here actually run.
Australian owned and operated: dollars and GST, local numbers, local hours, and books your accountant recognises.
Priced in dollars, GST included
AU$110 a month, GST included. The advertised number is the number on the invoice. You're billed in Australian dollars on an Australian tax invoice with GST shown, not a US-dollar receipt your bookkeeper has to convert.
No new-client commission, ever
Some platforms charge a percentage the first time a client books through them. We don't charge that, and we never will. There's no marketplace here to sell you your own regulars back.
Support from the people who build it
We're small and Australian, so you get a direct line to the people writing the software during AU business hours, not an offshore script and a ticket number. No pretend 24/7 call centre.
Xero-ready exports
Daily takings export as a bookkeeper-format CSV: DD/MM/YYYY dates, plain AU$ amounts, takings split by cash and card, ready to hand over or import. One tidy file, any date range.
Local SMS, honestly itemised
Texts go out over Australian carrier routes through an Australian provider, with your business name as the sender ID once you've set one up. At our cost: 3.5 cents plus GST (3.85 cents including GST) a segment, listed line by line on your invoice, with no bundles, no allowances to track.
Works with the EFTPOS you already have
Keep your existing terminal. Take the card payment as you do now and record it at checkout alongside cash, so the day's takings still add up at close. No new hardware, no switching banks.
Everything above works today. Direct Xero sync and automatic Square and Tyro reconciliation are on the roadmap. We'll say so plainly when they land, and not a day before.
One price. The whole price.
Bookable costs AU$110 a month including GST (AU$100 plus GST), flat, with every feature included, no commission, no per-booking fees and no lock-in contract. Email confirmations and reminders are unlimited and free; text messages are charged at our cost, 3.5 cents plus GST (3.85 cents including GST) a segment, itemised on your monthly invoice, with no bundles, no allowances to track. Card payments are processed by your own Stripe account at standard Stripe rates, paid to Stripe, not to us.
If your software bill is hard to predict, that's the product working as designed, just not for you.

See it in actionStraight answers
How much does it cost?
AU$110 a month, GST included, flat, for the whole shop, with every feature included: unlimited bookings, clients, team members and email. There's no commission, no per-booking fee and no lock-in contract. Text message reminders are billed at our cost, 3.5c + GST a segment (3.85c including GST), itemised on your invoice, and card payments go through standard Stripe processing at Stripe's rates, from your own account.
What do texts cost?
Texts are billed at our cost, 3.5c + GST a segment (3.85c including GST), itemised on your monthly invoice. Email is unlimited and free. A short text is one segment; a long one can run to two. Reminder texts are one per booking by default, so a typical shop's SMS bill stays small and predictable. There are no bundles, no allowance tiers and no surprise charges, just what you actually send.
Can I move my clients and bookings over from my current booking system?
Yes. Export clients, services and upcoming appointments from your current booking system, upload them in Setup → Import and check the result side by side before going live. Prefer us to do it? Send them over and we will, free. Your current system keeps working the whole time.
Do you take a cut of my payments?
No. Payments settle into your own Stripe account at standard Stripe rates. We never touch your money and add no margin on processing.
Will my clients see your brand anywhere?
No. The booking page, confirmations, reminders, campaigns and receipts all carry your business name. You choose the brand colour, accent and page background, and the booking page follows. Our name appears only in your admin, never on anything a client sees.
Can I send promotions to my clients?
Yes, by email, text or both, and only to clients who opted in to marketing. Pick one of 23 starter templates or write your own, and see the cost of a text campaign before you send. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that works without signing in. Texts are billed at our cost, 3.5c + GST a segment (3.85c including GST), the same as reminders; email is free. You're responsible for having your clients' consent and for what you write.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No. Billing is month to month, and you can export your full client list, history and bookings at any time in plain formats.
What don't you do?
We don't have a consumer marketplace, so we can't put your shop in front of people browsing an app the way a marketplace can. If most of your new clients come from marketplace discovery rather than Google, Instagram and word of mouth, a marketplace platform may still be the better fit.
Why this exists
I started building this after watching a local barbershop's software bill climb, month after month. Not because they were doing anything wrong (the shop was busy, the chairs were full) but because their “free” booking platform charged commission on clients the shop had already earned, added margin on payments and charged again for the messages that kept the diary full.
A booking system for a barbershop or salon is not a hard problem that justifies a percentage of your takings. It's a calendar, reminders and a payment link, done properly, under your own name. So that's what this is: one flat price, your brand on everything, and your client list yours to take with you the day we stop deserving the AU$110.
We're new, and small, and Australian, and we'd rather earn your business with the numbers above than with a wall of logos we don't have yet.
