Terms

About these terms

These terms apply to businesses using Bookable, operated by Bookable. By creating or using a paid business account, you agree to these terms. They do not replace rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The service

Bookable provides booking, scheduling, client-management, communications and related business tools. Features that depend on third parties, such as payment processing, email or SMS delivery, can also be subject to the relevant provider's terms and availability.

Your account and access

You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure, giving team members appropriate access and promptly removing access that is no longer required. You must not use the service unlawfully, attempt to access another business's data, interfere with the service or use it to send unlawful or unsolicited communications.

Your data

You retain responsibility for and rights in the business and client data you put into the service. You give us permission to process that data only as needed to operate, secure, support and improve the service. You are responsible for having an appropriate basis to collect client information and send marketing communications.

Pricing and billing

The standard advertised subscription is AU$110 per month including GST (AU$100 plus GST) for one business account, with every feature included, unless a different written offer applies. SMS usage is charged separately at our cost, currently 3.5 cents plus GST (3.85 cents including GST) per message segment, as shown in the product and on your invoice. Third-party payment-processing fees are charged by the relevant payment provider and are not part of the subscription price.

Referral credit

If a business signs up using your referral link, your account earns credit of 5% of the fees that business actually pays us, excluding GST and after any refunds. If we later refund an amount that earned you credit, that credit is reversed. Credit is taken off your future invoices. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or paid out, and stops when the referred business stops paying. Referring your own business, or a business you already belong to, does not earn credit. We may withhold or reverse credit where we reasonably believe referrals are being abused.

Marketing messages

Campaign texts are charged per SMS segment at the rate shown in the product and on your invoice. A long message can be several segments, and each segment is charged. The cost shown before you send is an estimate, based on the message as it will be sent; the amount on your invoice is what counts.

You must meet your obligations under the Spam Act 2003 and the Privacy Act 1988, including having consent before you send, clearly identifying your business as the sender and honouring unsubscribes. You are responsible for the wording of the messages you write and for who you send them to.

Cancellation

The standard subscription is month to month. You can cancel future renewal through the available billing controls or by contacting us. Amounts already due remain payable. You can export core client and booking information before leaving the service.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service reliable and will take reasonable care in operating it, but maintenance, third-party outages and unexpected incidents can affect availability. We may change or improve features over time. If a material change adversely affects a paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where practical.

Suspension

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, respond to unlawful use, address a serious security risk or deal with materially overdue fees. Where practical, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, guarantees or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Businesses remain responsible for their services, client relationships, pricing, tax obligations and compliance obligations.
